A rare silver bottle ticket made in York during the early decades of the 19th century.
This rectangular Brandy label is stamped to the reverse side with the distinctive lion passant in plain shield of the York assay mark and the makers mark JB/WW for Barber & Whitwell, who were the main manufacturing silversmiths in York circa 1820. This spirit label remains in fine condition.
