Serving Forks (pair) - Cactus (Kaktus) Pattern - Post 1945 by Georg Jensen - 15.4cm long; 50g combined weight - TP/1748i
These are a useful pair of silver serving forks made by Georg Jensen in his iconic Cactus pattern.
These relatively small, 2-pronged forks are ideal for serving hors d'ouevres and cuts of cold meat. They provide an elegant addition to the buffet table and are in excellent condition. Both forks bear Georg Jensen post-1945 workshop marks and sterling silver marks.
Cactus pattern was designed by Gundolph Albertus in 1930 and is also known by its Danish name of Kaktus. It has a stylized cactus motif low down on the stem and is so designed to give a streamlined effect so typical of the Art Deco period. Its simple, elegant beauty has inevitably lead to it becoming one of the most popular and highly sought after of all Jensen flatware patterns.
