£138.00
Serving Forks (pair) - Continental (Antik) Pattern - London 1929 by Georg Jensen (imported by George Stockwell) - 13.6cm long; 40g combined weight - OA/2568a
Dating from the Art Deco period, this is a lovely pair of sterling silver serving forks by Georg Jensen in the popular Continental pattern.
These relatively small, 2-pronged forks are ideal for serving hors d'ouevres and cuts of cold meat. They provide an elegant addition to the buffet table and are in excellent condition. Both forks bear Georg Jensen workshop marks and London import hallmarks for 1929.
Also known in Danish as Antik, this elegant flatware pattern was one of the first to be designed by Georg Jensen and is an early example of the Art Deco movement.
