Table Spoon - Hanoverian Rattail pattern - London 1718 by Henry Clarke - 19.6cm long; 56g - SV/7242

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This George I silver Hanoverian rattail silver table spoon was made by Henry Clarke and is in fine condition.

The reverse of the stem bears hallmarks for 1718 for the purer Britannia Standard silver and shows a great example of the CL maker's mark. The spoon has no personal engravings nor are there signs of any having been erased. This is a good early 18th century spoon at a sensible price.

Henry Clarke was one of the apprentices of William Scarlett and went on to become a fine specialist spoonmaker in his own right.
