Pair of Silver Nutcrackers by Georg Jensen, 1934

Nutcrackers are relatively scarce in silver and this is an excellent pair by the famous Georg Jensen in his signature Art Deco design, Pyramid pattern.

The nutcrackers have a lovely elegant appearance and have the further bonus of being contained in their original leatherette covered box with satin and silk linings. The nutcrackers have two silver handles that bear Georg Jensen marks and English import hallmarks for 1934. To ensure strenth and durability, the cracking sections are made of stainless steel (silver is too soft).

This rare pair of Georg Jensen nutcrackers remain in excellent polished condition with some minor scuffs to the exterior of the case.
