This is a fine pair of George II cast silver candlesticks by James Morison
These top quality candlesticks take a square-based form with shell corners and knopped stem topped by removable sconce nozzles (appropriately part-marked). They have a good, hefty weight and the engraved crests to their bases add that extra dimension of quality to them.
They are in excellent original condition with clear sets of London hallmarks spread around the inside bases, together with discreet "WH" initials and "35,6 pr" which denotes the scratchweight of the pair.
