These are an endearing pair of novelty silver pepper pots in the form of teddy bears.
Novelties such as this pair were all the rage during the Edwardian period and teddy bears were a newly introduced toy being named after Theodore Roosevelt circa 1902. The heads of this pair are pierced for the pepper pouring and pull-off for refilling. They are fully hallmarked for the Birmingham firm of Gourdel Vale & Co. and are in fine condition.
