These are an excellent pair of top quality Georgian silver wine coasters, that remain in superb condition throughout.

Made in Sheffield, by the workshop of the Creswick family, these circular bottle coasters are fluted around the gallery and have a beautiful shell and gadroon mount. The turned wooden centres have green baize on the underside to avert scuffing to polished tables and concentric rings on the upperside to prevent a vacuum forming within the punt of the bottle. The centre of the bases are fitted with silver discs that are engraved with an attractive crest featuring a cow standing next to a wheatsheaf.

A very fine pair of George IV period silver wine coasters.
