What a charming pair of novelty silver topped decanters! This fun pair of ducks have two differently coloured glass bodies to tell the contents apart, one lime and the other amethyst. They have superbly made silver heads with bead eyes which are fully hallmarked and bear the registration design number Rd.No.187828. The pouring spout runs through their elongated bills and their wings double-up as handles. A feature that we have never previously encountered is the original wavy-edged glass duck pond! The amethyst duck is slightly larger than the other and as a pair they would be ideal for serving whisky and water, liqueurs etc. Made by the partnership of Saunders & Shepherd, these late Victorian novelties are in fine condition.
