Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a magnificent, early Victorian silver soup tureen.

With a total length of 16.5" and a weight of 127 tr.oz., it has an impressive and imposing presence; the quality can really be felt when lifting it up and feeling the hefty weight. It was made by the premier silver workshop of the Savory family and features a superbly made cast, foliate scroll handle that can be removed if necessary, two similarly decorated side handles and stands on four foliate scroll feet.

One side of this antique silver tureen is engraved with an "X" inside a garter, whilst a corresponding garter to the cover contains a script engraved monogram. With a good, thick gauge of silver evident throughout, the condition of this large tureen remains excellent.
