Table Spoon - Hanoverian Pattern - London 1730 by Caleb Hill - 20.6cm long; 77g - DE/6835

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a super-heavy example of an early George II silver table spoon and in first class condition.

The spoon was made by the specialist spoonmaker Caleb Hill whose short career spanned from 1728 to 1734. His work is always of a high quality and this spoon, weighing a hefty 74 grams, is no exception. The original engraved crest to the terminal featuring a lion's head is quite stunning. This Hanoverian table spoon is in excellent antique condition with a fine patina.

Given it's quality, condition, crest, date and maker, this is as good a George II silver table spoon as you are likely to find.
