Table Spoon - Hanoverian Rattail pattern - London 1728 - 20.5cm long; 54g - HY/2131

Dating from the early George II period, this Hanoverian pattern silver table spoon has a bold rattail to the back of the bowl.

The reverse of the handle is engraved with an original betrothal triangle, where the "P" is the surname of the newlyweds and the "I" and "E" the first names ("I" being the old English way of writing "J"). Although the maker's mark is illegible, overall this lovely antique table spoon is in excellent condition with a good patina and full-shaped bowl.
