Table Spoon - Hanoverian Pattern - Newcastle 1754 by William Partis - 19.8cm long; 59g - WN/2328f

This is a good example of a north country silver table spoon made in the Hanoverian pattern by William Partis.

The reverse terminal is engraved with an original engraved crest and the spoon is in fine antique condition. The hallmarks are a little worn but legible, although the date letter is either the "P" of 1754 or the "R" of 1756. William Partis was apprenticed to James Kirkup during the late 1720' and early 1730's and working on his own account from 1735.
