Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a pretty Georgian silver sweet basket made in London by Thomas Foster.

Dating from the early George III period, this antique basket has an oval form with pierced decoration between bead scrolls and an embossed floral rim. It stands on a pierced skirt foot with gadroon mount and has a hinged, twisted wire, swing handle centred by a vacant cartouche. The middle of the dish bears an original script monogram with additional flourishes and the hallmarks are located on the top edge.

A lovely Georgian dish in fine condition with neither damage nor repair.
