Marrow Scoop - Double-ended - London 1758 by Richard Pargeter - 22.4cm long; 49g - QW/3146
This is an excellent example of a George II period silver marrow scoop and made in London by Richard Pargeter.
This marrowfat eating implement has a typical large scoop to one end and a narrower version to the other, both being useful to extract the tasty morsels. There is an original engraved crest to the reverse side of the larger bowl and a clear set of hallmarks to the central shank. This is a fabulous example in excellent condition.
