Unusual Georg Jensen Silver Acanthus Pattern Scoop
£160.00
Marrow Scoop - Acanthus pattern - Post-1945 by Georg Jensen - 17.9cm long; 43g - CL/7825b
This is a very unusual Georg Jensen eating utensil that we have not found in any of his catalogues. The elongated scoop is very similar to 18th century marrrow scoops and in the absence of any other ideas (too wide for a crab or lobster pick), we assume that it must be for the purpose of teasing out tasty morsels from marrow fat bones.
The scoop is in Acanthus pattern and is stamped with the appropriate Georg Jensen workshop marks and is in fine condition.
