The tripod silver cream jug was the prevalent form in England during the mid-18th century and this early George III piece is a fine example.

Standing on three paw feet, this attractive antique cream jug has a pear-shaped body and S-shaped handle. It bears a full set of London hallmarks to the underside including the partially worn I*M maker's mark for John Muns. The jug is in excellent condition with neither damage nor repair.
