Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a fantastic spoon. At 13" long it has an imposing presence and good hefty weight. This Queen Anne period silver basting or stuffing spoon is engraved to the reverse of the dog nose terminal with contemporary to manufacture betrothal initials. The reverse of the bowl has a striking rattail and the reverse stem a great set of Britannia standard hallmarks, including a very clear example of the "LA" maker's mark for the specialist spoonmaker, John Ladyman. This fabulous dog nose spoon is in excellent condition throughout with a fine, original patina.
