Salt Caster - Chased Roses and Proverb - London 1909 by Ramsden & Carr - 10cm high; 81g - FS/7504

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Made by the famous arts & crafts partnership of Omar Ramsden & Alwyn Carr, this lovely Edwardian silver caster presents a positive and joyful message.

The lower section of the caster is chased with the proverb: "Young Laughter Makes the Old World Gay" suggesting how the vitality of young people makes the world feel a more joyful and vibrant place. The upper section is chased with a band of roses on thorny branches. The single hole to the removable cover suggests its use for pouring salt.

This hand-made caster is in excellent condition with clear hallmarks to the top rim and the Latin message "Omar Ramsden et Alwyn Carr Me Fecurunt" to the underside.
