Sorry, this item is out of stock.

The "mussel" is a truly sumptuous silver caddy spoon that was designed and made by the finest caddy spoon maker of the Victorian period, Francis Higgins.

The bowl is cleverly modelled and cast as a deep mussel shell and is attached to a leafy handle with parcel gilt lily pad tendrils. It has a good, solid weight in the hand.

This is one of the most highly cherished forms of caddy spoon and this example remains in fine condition.
