Set of 4 Paul Storr Silver Teaspoons, 1811
£260.00
Teaspoons (4) - Fiddle & Thread - London 1811 by Paul Storr - 14.5cm long; 114g combined weight - MJ/3324a
Paul Storr silver teaspoons are quite scarce and this is a good set of four at a great price.
These George III spoons are in the Fiddle & Thread pattern with original engraved crests to their front terminal. In line with the majority of other Storr pieces in this flatware design, they are in the so called "French style" i.e. with upturned handle terminals. The teaspoons are in good order throughout and although there is some rubbing to the hallmarks, they are clearly by Paul Storr (PS) who was the best English silversmith of the 19th Century.
