This is an excellent quality, hand-made silver quaich by the renown Art Deco silversmith RE Stone.

The shallow, circular bowl is fitted with two lug handles that are engraved with an English rose motif. The underside of the quaich bears a full set of London hallmarks and the RE Stone facsimile signature. It is in lovely, polished condition with evidence of the hand-raising process to the interior.

A quaich is an ancient Scottish drinking vessel traditionally used to drink whisky and often passed between two people with both holding the handles and taking a sup from opposite sides of the bowl.
