John Ferguson Gow Silver & Enamel Dish, 1947
£495.00
Dish - Round; Enamelled - London 1947 by John Ferguson Gow - 13.5cm diameter; 137g gross weight - AP/4996
This is a lovely looking silver dish made by John Ferguson Gow who was a highly skilled silversmith and enameller from the 1940's.
Made in the arts & crafts style, this circular silver dish has a stunning red and orange enamelled flowerhead to the centre. Although in a trademark Gow-style, the enamel colour is a less common choice than his usual greens and blues. The dish is in lovely condition throughout and a great looking piece of early post-war silver.
