Pair of Picture-back Miniature Spoons, c.1760
Sold
Miniature Spoons (pair) - Hanoverian Scroll-back - London circa 1760 by James Tookey - 7cm long - KH/2576
This is a rare pair of miniature silver spoons from the mid-18th century.
Made by the specialist silver spoonmaker James Tookey, these tiny spoons would have likely been used by a child as part of a doll's set. With the attractive scroll to the reverse of their bowls, they conform to the typical Hanoverian pattern fancy-back tea and table spoons of the day. The scrolls benefit from being crisp and these rare survivors are in overall fine condition.
