Pair Newcastle Table Spoons, 1790

Sold
Table Spoons (pair) - Old English pattern; Bright-cut Engraved - Newcastle circa 1790 by Thomas Watson - 22.5cm long; 113g combined weight - SK/5689
These are a really good looking pair of late 18th century silver table spoons that were made in Newcastle and bear clear sets of appropriate hallmarks - date letters were not compulsory on Newcastle-made spoons of the period. Both spoons are identically bright-cut engraved with a fan motif to the terminal alongside original "JC" initials in script to the cartouches. The spoons are in fine crisp condition with good unworn bowls.
