Salt Spoons (pair) - Naturalistic - London 1835 by William Bateman II - 9.7cm long; 31g combined weight - RY/2577

These are a superb pair of cast silver salt spoons made by the famous Bateman family workshop.

The 1830's saw a revival of the Naturalistic style and these salt spoons are an excellent representation of that form. They are cast with leafy tendril handles and gilt bowls in the form of convolvulus flowers. They have a nice solid feel in the hand and are in excellent condition with clear hallmarks to the reverse of the handles.
