Grape Scissors - Hanoverian pattern - London 1869 by George Adams - 17.7cm long; 111g - GD/6774

These are a lovely pair of Victorian silver-gilt grape scissors made by the premier workshop of Chawner & Company, led by George Adams.

These grape scissors or shears are in fully functional order and are in fine condition with the original gilding still intact. They have a lovely elegant appearance and a feeling of quality in the hand. Grape scissors are a refined way of trimming grapes from their stalks (n.b. not for cutting thicker stalks!).
