Sold
Table Spoons (pair) - Hanoverian pattern - London 1764 by James Tookey - 20.3cm long; 158g - JN/1557
These are a fine quality pair of early George III period silver table spoons in the Hanoverian Pattern. Each spoon has a tremendous weight of almost 80 grams, which is 20% more than typical table spoons of the period, and consequently ooze with high quality.
There are no personalised engravings to these spoons and there is no evidence of there having been any either. A further bonus are the clear sets of bottom-struck hallmarks that include the "I*T" maker's mark of the specialist spoonmaker James Tookey. A fabulous pair of mid-18th century spoons, in stunning original condition and as good as you will find!
