Candlesticks (pair) - Cast; Square Based Shell - Dublin circa 1745 by Jonathan Pasley - 19.1cm high; 11.9cm x 11.9cm; 1028g - GP/7903</p>
These are a scarce and fine quality pair of mid-18th century Irish candlesticks. They are cast in typical fashion with a good-sized square base and decorated with shell corners They have a good heavy weight and are in fine condition throughout.
The hallmarks are located to the centre of three sides - at this period date letters were rarely used on Irish silverware, but the shape and form of the punches are individual and the engrailed top to the Hibernia marks on these sticks dates them to the 1740's.
