This is a lovely, elegant pair of Irish provincial silver table spoons made in Cork during the latter years of the 18th century.

The spoons are in the Celtic point pattern and engraved to the front terminals with a crest of a hand holding a short spear. The reverse sides are stamped with the STERLING and IN maker's mark for John Nicholson (the latter only visible on one spoon).
