'Openwork' Caddy Spoon, 1855

This is an outstanding specimen of Francis Higgins' design and workmanship.

This antique silver caddy spoon has a beautifully made openwork handle with flowery tendrils intertwining around each other. The bowl is the typical high quality fluted example that was a staple of the Higgins workshop. The spoon remains in fine condition.
