Loop Handle Caddy Spoon, 1860

George Unite was unique in producing the distinctive loop handle caddy spoon as seen on this example. The hollow handle was applied with a vine leaf tendril and attached to a variety of different bowls. In this example the gilt, fluted bowl is decorated with a beautiful array of embossed flowers. This spoon is in excellent condition with a clear set of Victorian hallmarks.
