Asparagus Tongs - Queen's pattern - London 1837 by Mary Chawner - 26.5cm long; 214g - FP/5922

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

These are a high quality pair of antique silver asparagus servers made by Mary Chawner during the year which saw Queen Victoria ascend to the throne.

Decorated in Queen's Pattern, these are the very best quality with a nice, hefty feel in the hand. The pair of grips are superbly pierced with one having a lip to hold the asparagus spears in place and are prevented from being over-stretched by a central restraining bar. The decoration remains crisp and there are no personal engravings (nor erasures).

These antique serving tongs are in excellent condition.
