Lily pattern is one of the most stylish flatware patterns of the 19th century and was designed in time for the Great Exhibition of 1851 - this spoon bears the appropriate kite mark to the base of the reverse stem. Made by George Adams of Chawner & Company, the premier flatware makers of the 19th century, this is a super 12" long basting spoon that is engraved to the front terminal with an original crest. The decoration is crisp throughout, the bowl tip remains unworn and the spoon is stamped with clear hallmarks to the reverse side - an excellent spoon.
