Cased Bacchanalian Serving Set, 1871

We are offering an outstanding suite of dessert servers in one of the most sought after flatware patterns, comprising a pair of serving spoons and a sugar sifter spoon. Bacchanalian pattern is a superbly detailed pattern that was originally designed for Rundell, Bridge & Rundell and used primarily for dessert services. Each stem is decorated with a Classical scene of semi-clad revellers celebrating the festival of Bacchus: the Roman God of the grape harvest and wine. The reverse of the stem bears wine related objects and benefit from having no personalised engravings. Each spoon is cleverly parcel gilt with the highlight points remaining in silver to give a beautiful two tone appearance.

Finding Bacchanalian pattern pieces is a hard task, and this set is as good as you get. All three pieces remain in wonderful condition with no wear, because they have been perfectly preserved within their case which is lined with a plush Royal purple.
