Irish Silver Cream Jug, Dublin 1799 R Sawyer

This attractive, antique Irish silver cream or milk jug dates from the final year of the 18th century and remains in excellent condition.

It was made in Dublin by Richard Sawyer who entered his first mark in 1797. The jug has a generous, looped handle and features bands of engravings around the boat-shaped body. The central round cartouches remain free from personalisings and have not been erased. Overall, a fine piece of early 19th century Irish silver.,
