Cream Jug - Helmet-shaped with Chased Swags - London 1773 by Thomas Shepherd - 11.5cm high; 86g - LF/6619
This is a lovely George III period silver cream jug standing on a circular pedestal foot.
Made by Thomas Shepherd, this jug is beautifully chased with swags and floral roundels and engraved to the front with original, script "RM" initials. This helmet-shaped pitcher has a punched bead rim that is indicative of the 1770's and is in superb condition.
