Decorated Irish silver caddy spoons always make pleasing additions to any collection and this example is a beauty!
The spoon dates from circa 1800 and is decorated with the Bright-cut Star design that was peculiar to Ireland. The Dublin hallmarks to the reverse typically lack a date letter but the TT maker's mark for Thomas Townsend helps place the spoon to the final years of the 18th or early years of the 19th centuries.
This handsome caddy spoon is in excellent condition with clear hallmarks.
