Wine Funnel - 2-section - Spout and Strainer - London 1802 by William Allen III - 16.5cm high; 8cm diameter; 205g - EY/7427

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a fine quality Georgian silver wine funnel with removable strainer section and swan-necked spout.

The long spout-section is fluted to allow air to escape when pouring the wine in to the decanter and retains its original curved tip that will enable the liquid to run down the side of the glass and thus prevent the wine from bruising. The strainer section is drilled in the form of a flowerhead and has a hook for hanging from the side of a decanter.

The side of the funnel is engraved with an original crest featuring a stag and a good set of London hallmarks for the maker William Allen III. This George III period silver wine funnel is in excellent condition.
