Wine Coasters (pair) - Floral Shell & Scroll Mounts - Sheffield 1826 by John & Thomas Settle - 18.5cm diameter (internal diameter = 11.5cm); 5.3cm high; 509g combined gross weight - HC/5287

This a fine quality pair of Georgian silver wine coasters, that remain in superb condition throughout.

Made in Sheffield, by John & Thomas Settle, these circular bottle coasters have tall silver galleries that are beautifully decorated with floral, shell & scroll mounts. The turned wooden centres still have their original green baize to the undersides to prevent scuffing to polished tables and to the upperside have a central silver disc within concentric rings - these rings stop vacuums forming within the punt of the bottle or decanter.

These are an excellent pair of George IV period silver wine coasters that will keep your dining table free from wine spillage, have a great appearance and with the further bonus of top class condition.
