Sold
Table Spoon - Hanoverian Rattail Pattern - Exeter 1728 by Philip Elston - 19.3cm long; 35g - VF/5563
This is a good, early 18th century silver table with Exeter assay office marks for 1728 and the "PE" maker's mark for Philip Elston.
This George II spoon has a prominent central ridge down the front stem, a rattail to the reverse of the bowl and original engraved dated initials to the reverse terminal. The spoon is in fine antique condition with a good patina and excellent hallmarks (some wear to date letter "d" but legible).
