Sorry, this item is out of stock.

Early 18th century silver dessert spoons in the Dog Nose pattern are relatively scarce and this Queen Anne period example is a great example. It was made by Joseph Barbut and bears his complex "BA" new standard silver mark, plus a legible example of the 1705 date letter among slightly rubbed Britannia Standard hallmarks. There is a late 18th century scrip engraved "W" to the reverse terminal. The spoon is in fine antique condition with an unworn bowl and good patina.
