Marrow Scoop - Double-ended - Chester 1790 by George Walker - 20.9cm long; 30g - PZ/7080

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

With a full set of Chester hallmarks, this is a very rare silver double-ended marrow scoop.

The six marks are struck to the central shank and include the city arms mark for Chester and the maker's mark for George Walker. It is in excellent condition throughout.

Silver marrow scoops were used to tease out the tasty morsels of marrowfat from beef bones - a great delicacy during Georgian times.
