Rare Chester Marked Stuffing Spoon, 1788 R Richardson
£395.00
Basting Spoon - Old English Pattern - Chester 1788 by Richard Richardson - 31cm long; 94g - WA/6555
This is a very rare Georgian silver stuffing spoon made by Richard Richardson of Chester with a full set of English provincial hallmarks.
The spoon has a very long, elegant handle in Old English pattern that is engraved with a boar's head crest to the terminal - this is likely for the Bravant family (see below for a pair of stuffing spoons with similar crest). This is a fabulous spoon in excellent all round condition with a lovely antique patina.
