Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a good-looking and fabulous quality late 18th century Irish silver snuff box made by James Keating.

The box has an elegant navette-shaped form and is attractively bright-cut engraved to the top surface and the sides. The engraving to the top includes a clever design to discreetly hide the flush hinge and a crest within a cartouche that reflects the shape of the box. It is a good-sized box that is quite deep, fits comfortably in the hand and has a nice feeling of quality about it.

A full, crisp set of Dublin hallmarks are located inside the hinged cover with part marks to the inside base and sides. This is a truly excellent quality Irish silver snuf box with the bonus of being in superb condition.
