Caddy Spoon - George V Commemorative - London 1935 by R.E.Stone - 7.4cm long, 28g - RB/8422

Sorry, this item is out of stock.

This is a wonderful quality silver caddy spoon made for Aspreys and housed in its original, plush box (some wear to exterior). The spoon was made by one of the most important silversmith protagonists of the Art Deco movement in the UK - Robert Edgar Stone. It was made to celebrate the Silver Jubilee of King George V & Queen Mary in 1935 and as such bears the additional commemorative hallmark.

The spoon itself is hand-made with the bowl retaining a spot hammered finish and the handle is in the form of the Royal crown. It has been made from a good gauge of silver, consequently having a nice solid feel in the hand and the case has helped it survive in immaculate condition.
