Cast Ramsden Caddy Spoon, 1927

This is a fabulous quality caddy spoon by arguably the greatest English silversmith of the 20th century. This good-sized, cast spoon has a very hefty weight and the handle is formed in a similar fashion to the Onslow Pattern of the mid-18th century - called Dixon Pattern by Ramsden. A bold rattail is prominent to the underside of the bowl with the clear hallmarks located nearby. A fine spoon in excellent condition.
