Antique Silver Cartridge Extractor and Whistle, 1909
£695.00
Cartridge Extractor and Whistle - London 1909 by J C Vickery - 8cm high; 2.7cm diameter; 49g - FN/7303
This is a very rare Edwardian period, shooting related silver object and the only one we have ever encountered.
It usefully combines a whistle to one end for alerting other marksmen and a shotgun cartridge extractor to the other. The whistle blows well and apart from signs of use in the form of nicks and a few dents, the piece is in fine condition. There are clear London hallmarks for 1909, the maker's mark for JC Vickery and a registration design number Rd.447671.
