£295.00
Whisky Noggins (pair) - Glass Body with Silver Mounts - Birmingham 1917 by Hukin & Heath - 11.5cm high; 80ml volume per noggin; 342g combined gross weight - SR/6459
These are a lovely pair of antique silver whisky noggins or tots
Also known as chota pegs, whisky noggins are invariably found in pairs so that one can be filled with whisky and the other with an equal amount of water. Each noggin has sufficient volume for two standard large measures (35ml per measure) of liquid and are ideal for use with a late night drink.
These whisky noggins are made of glass with star-cut bases to show off the whisky to full effect, a glass handle and hinged, hallmarked silver mounts. The cover has a thumblift for use when re-filling and the lip will automatically open on pouring. Both covers are engraved with a gartered St George's Cross crest within an eight-point star and the royal motto "Honi-soit qui mal y pense".
These silver mounted cups were made by Hukin & Heath and are in excellent condition.
