Wine Labels (3) - Whisky, Rum & Brandy; Bright-cut engraved crescents - London circa 1780 by Hester Bateman - 3.6cm wide - CS/2716

These are a lovely, elegant set of three silver wine labels made by Hester Bateman.

Bearing the names of Whisky, Brandy and Rum, these Georgian spirit decanter tickets take a crescent form and are stylishly engraved with bright-cutting around the borders. All three labels are clearly marked with the cursive script "HB" maker's mark and a lion passant, which in combination with the form of the labels points toward a date of manufacture circa 1780.

This trio are in fine condition with crisp decoration and are a great set of late 18th century labels.
